Auch die jungen Talente sollen die Chance bekommen sich beim legendärsten aller Contests zu beweisen. In der Rookie Challenge treten 12 hochtalentierte Nachwuchsfahrer unterschiedlicher Nationen in einer Jam Session gegeneinander an. Jeder Rider hat drei Runs einen "Warm-Up" Run und anschließend zwei Runs, die gewertet werden und von denen der beste zählt. Der Gewinner sichert sich seine Teilnahme im Hauptfeld beim Billabong Air & Style 2010.

Also the young guns should get a chance to proof their abilities at the most legendary contest. There will be 12 super talented newcomers competing in the Rookie Challenge. The Rookie Challenge is a Jam Session in which each rider is allowed to make three runs - one "warm-up" run and two runs that will be judged. Only the best one counts. The winner will take part in the main contest at the Billabong Air & Style 2010.

Der Schwede Ludwig Lejkner folgt dem Ruf des Bergisel und bereichert das Starterfeld der Rookies.
Eindruck konnte er bereits mit seinem Videopart bei Isen Seven im aktuellen Film „Let´s Go get Lost“ machen und genau so wird Ludwig auch das Publikum in Innsbruck begeistern - denn er hat 10ner im Gepäck, die er nicht um sonst eingepackt hat.

The Swede Ludwig Lejkner heard the Bergisel calling and joins the Rookie starting field. He caused a stir in his video part in Isen Seven’s “Let´s Go get Lost” and like there he will make a big impression on the fans in Innsbruck- especially because of his tens that he will bring with him.

Für den Tiroler Tom ist die Teilnahme beim Billabong Air & Style eine Premiere und Heimspiel zugleich. Der Zillertaler-Styler, der den Penken Park seinen Homepark nennt, war zu Beginn des Jahres mit der Isen Seven Crew für den aktuellen Film „Let´s Go get Lost“ unterwegs und ist zu Recht stolz drauf. So kann Tom sich also darauf freuen, mit einer Menge Fans im Rücken sein Können am Bergisel unter Beweis zu stellen.

For the Tyrol Tom is this Billabong Air & Style a premiere but at the same time a home game. The styler from the Zillertal who names the Penken Park his home started the season with the Isen Seven Crew for the latest Movie “Let´s Go get Lost” and rightly he is very proud of that. So Tom can look forward to show his talent at the Bergisel with the support of a lot of fans.

Der Schweizer David Bertschinger Karg, der über sich selbst sagt, dass ihn die Worte sarkastisch, openminded und stoked am besten beschreiben, konnte schon durch einige Interviews auf sich aufmerksam machen. Für die Zeit nach dem Billabong Air & Style 09/II hat er ebenfalls große Pläne: Es geht erst nach Finnland, im Anschluss nach China. Doch bevor es so weit ist, will er erst den Monster Kicker in Innsbruck bezwingen.

The guy from Switzerland David Bertschinger Karg, who thinks that the words sarcastic, openminded and stoked are the best discription of his person could attract some attention with several interviews in different mags. For the time after the Billabong Air & Style 09/II he has got great plan. First he travells to Finland then to China. But first he will defeat the monster kicker in Innsbruck.

Seppe kommt aus Belgien, genauer gesagt aus Antwerpen. In dieser Saison konnte er schon auf sich aufmerksam machen, so sicherte er sich beim Evolution in Davos einen 2. Platz im SS. Wir sind gespannt, wie sich der Belgier beim Billabong Air & Style schlagen wird.

Von der Quarterpipe auf den Big Air am Bergisel. Auch dieses Mal ist Forum Young Gun Niki Korpela wieder Teil des Billabong Air & Style in Innsbruck. Sein Style und seine technisch hochkarätigen Tricks sprechen für sich. Nicht umsonst hat er es es einige Forum Videoparts geschafft.

From the quarterpipe straight to Big Air at the Bergisel. Also this time Forum Young Gun Niki Korpela competes at the Billabong Air & Style in Innsbruck. His style and his tricks with a very high level are outstanding. That’s why he scored a few shots to the forum movie.

Auch für Ethan ist das Bergisel Stadion kein Neuland mehr. Bereits im Januar diesen Jahres konnte er sich an der massiven Quarterpipe versuchen. Wer sich vom Können des jungen Deutschen überzeugen möchte, kann dieses auch im Isenseven Video „Teenage Love Graffiti“ bewundern.

Kevin ist zwar mit seinen 17 Jahren einer der jüngeren Teilnehmer der Rookie-Challenge, jedoch
bedeutet das nicht, dass von ihm keine Konkurrenz zu erwarten ist. Der junge Schwede und Kumpel von Ludde Lejkner hat beim letzten Evolution in Davos Größen wie Risto Mattila aus dem Contest geworfen und ist erfolgreich in die Finals gefahren. Zu seinem Standardprogramm gehören 10er und 12er, mit denen er auch am Bergisel seinen Mitstreitern gefährlich werden kann.

Kevin is with his age of 17 years one of the younger riders in the Rookie Challenge, but that
doesn't mean that he is not a strong competitor. The young guy from Sweden and buddy of Ludde Lejkner kicked riders like Risto Mattila out of the contest at the last Evolution in Davos and made it to the finals. 10ths and 12ths are part of his standard tricks with which he is going to become dangerous for his competitors at the Bergisel.

Der Russe Sergey ist einer der Top Rookies in seinem Heimatland. Er konnte schon 2007 die Fans in München im Olympia Stadion begeistern und wird es auch mit Sicherheit dieses Jahr in Innsbruck tun. Wir freuen uns auf einen großartigen Abend mit Lapa.

Daniel Mösl kommt aus Österreich und hat mit Sicherheit jede Menge Fans im Rücken, wenn er mit einem wahnsinns Speed dem größten Kicker der Welt entegegen rast. In der Vergangenheit konnte er sich zahlreiche Titel sichern und hat es auch auf den ersten Platz in der Billabong Air & Style 09/II Rookie Challenge abgesehen. Wir freuen uns, dass er dabei ist und das Starterfeld bereichert.

Daniel Mösl from Austria will have a lot of fans in his back when he charges towards the biggest kicker of the world with an amazing speed. In the past he won severel titels and for sure he willing to win the Billabong Air & Style 09/II Rookie Challenge. He for sure enriches the rider field and we are looking forward to his participation.

Giorgio Ciancaleoni, Ersatzmann für Oliver Gittler, ist einer der talentiertesten Snowboarder Italiens. Nicht nur deswegen freuen wir uns ihn bei der Rookie Challenger des Billabong Air & Style 09/II begrüßen zu dürfen. Halldor Helgason aus Island ist der kleine Bruder von Eirikur "Eiki" Helgason und der erste Fahrer aus Island beim Billabong Air & Style. Er fährt seit neun Jahren Snowboard und ist ein Rail-Maniac. Sein bester Video Part ist in "They came from" von Factorfilms zusehen. In 2004 wurde Halldor erstmals gesponsort. Sein Lieblingstrick ist der Nollie bs tail 270 out.
