Dort gibt es den spektakulären Klassiker wie alle anderen Clips zu sehen. Die perfekte Einstimmung auf den Air & Style 07, der am 01. Dezember 2007 wieder das Münchner Olympiastadion zum Beben bringen wird. Das nächste Level des Snowboarding ist erreicht und wir haben Sprünge gesehen, die noch nie zuvor in einem Contest gezeigt wurden. Die Sportler haben sich auf der perfekten Rampe im Olympiastadion vor 27.500 ekstatisch feiernden Fans gegenseitig hoch geschaukelt. Im gnadenlosen KO-Modus kam es dann auch zum Ausscheiden von Shaun White trotz eines unglaublichen Cab 1260 und Backside 720 in einem Run. In jenem Duell hat nämlich Antti Autti die Tagesbestmarke gesetzt mit einem noch unglaublicheren Frontside 1260 und einem Backside Switch 720.
Vielen Dank an alle, die im Olympiastadion waren und die Rider zu historischen Leistungen getrieben haben – die Stimmung war überwältigend! (Highlight Videos auf Freecaster)
Nokia Air & Style 06: the most memorable

Snowboarding was put to the next level, when the riders pulled tricks no one has seen before in a competition. On a perfectly prepared ramp the stars pushed each other in front of 27.500 ecstatic spectators. In a tough knock out head to head battle it was to happen that superstar Shaun White was beaten even though he sticked an unreal Cab 1260 and a Backside 720 in one run. But Antti Autti overdid him with a record breaking Frontside 1260 and Backside Switch 720.

wohl besten Nokia Air & Style aller Zeiten
Vor der Rekordkulisse von 27.500 begeisterten Zuschauern setzte sich Travis Rice (24/USA) gegen Risto Mattila (25/FIN), Antti Autti (21/FIN) und den Münchner Lokalmatador David Benedek (26/D) durch. Sein Siegessprung war ein Double Backflip 180 gefolgt von einem Cab 540.
Bei den Freestyle Motocrossern konnte sich der erst 18-jährige Wiley Fullmer (USA) im Finale gegen Beau Bamburg (USA) durchsetzen.
Die Snowboarder Rookie Challenge und damit einen Startplatz im Hauptfeld des nächstjährigen Air & Style gewann Mikkel Bang (16 Jahre/NOR).
Andrew Hourmont, Gründer und Veranstalter des Nokia Air & Style 06: „Wir sind stolz schon im zweiten Jahr in München mit 27.500 Besuchern einen neuen Zuschauerrekord beim Air & Style aufgestellt zu haben. Was Snowboarder und FMX-Rider, aber auch die Bands, geboten haben, war fantastisch. Die Zuschauer kamen auch dank des neuen Setups richtig auf ihre Kosten.
Ich glaube, so eine Party hat das Olympiastadion noch nicht oft erlebt. Und wir werden uns mächtig anstrengen, um den heutigen Abend beim Air & Style 07 im Dezember 2007 noch zu toppen.“

Travis Rice (USA) wins at the
probably best Nokia Air & Style ever
In front of a record-breaking crowd of 27.500 enthusiastic spectators Travis Rice (24/USA) prevailed and won against Risto Mattila (25/FIN), Antti Autti
(21/FIN) and Munich local David Benedek (26/GER). His winning jump was a Double Backflip 180 followed by a Cab 540. From the beginning of the competition, the world´s best snowboarders outbalanced each other with first class jumps – a level not seen before.
In the Freestyle Motocross competition, the 18-year-old Wiley Fullmer (USA) won the final against Beau Bamburg (USA).
The Snowboarder Rookie Challenge and with it a starting position in the main field of next year’s Air & Style was won by Mikkel Bang (16/NOR).
Andrew Hourmont, founder and organizer of the Nokia Air & Style 06: “We are proud to have set a new all time visitor record with 27.500 spectators at the Air & Style in its second year in Munich. Both snowboarders and FMX-riders were fantastic, so were the bands. The spectators were also enthused by the new setup. I think the Olympic Stadium has not seen such a party very often in the past. And we will really try to make an effort to beat tonight’s event with the Air & Style 2007 in December 2007.”

Die MonsterRampe wächst
im Olympiastadion!
355 Tonnen Stahl wurden verbaut um die riesige Snowboard Schanze entstehen zu lassen. Das kombinierte Snowboard / FMX – Setup läuft von der Osttribüne an der Südkurve entlang auf die überdachten Sitzplätze im Westen zu. Von diesen Rängen auf der Haupttribüne im Süden und Westen hat man beste Sicht auf die atemberaubenden Sprünge der Sportler.

355 tons of steel are needed to build this huge snowboard jump. The combined snowboard / FMX – setup runs from the eastern stands down along the southern curve towards the roofed seats in the west. From up there on the southern and western grandstands you will have best view on the breathtaking jumps.

Shaun White has been dominating the snowboard circus the last few years. After his glorious victory at the Nokia Air & Style 03 and 04 he has won everything that is to win. Shaun will fly in to show his spectacular tricks in the Olympic Stadium exclusively as his only competition in Europe!
However, competitors are super strong and it will not be an easy game to ride against all the World Champions, Air & Style winners, TTR- Champions, European Open Winners, US Open winners and X-Games Champions. The battle of these giants is on and one thing is for sure: Again, the Nokia Air & Style 06 will be the measure of all things in Snowboarding!

In FIRST DESCENT five Snowboard legends, among them Olympic Gold medallists and Air & Style winners like Shaun White and Terje Haakonson, tell us the development of snowboarding- from an underground youth movement to a global mass phenomenon. Simultaneously, the quintet is preparing for a risky “First Descent”- the first run down one of the highest and most dangerous glaciers of Alaska. Breathtaking runs and dangerous crevasses- all of this promises nerve-wrecking Snowboard action.

Neues Setup und neue Stars
Die Snowboardrampe steht an neuer Position im Olympiastadion, ganz dicht entlang der Südkurve, so dass man von allen Rängen beste Sicht hat! Das gesamte Setup ist wieder gewachsen und die Freestyle Motocrosser springen kreuz und quer über den 2. Snowboardsprung. Von der Haupttribüne aus hat man den Besten Blick auf die neu entwickelte Schanzenkombination. An der Gestaltung des Snowboardkicker haben neben den Experten im Hintergrund auch die Pro-Rider David Benedek, Mathieu Crépel und Sani Alibabic mitgewirkt. Der Hauptkicker hat mehr Anlauf, ein breiteres Gap und ist steiler als 2005. Seht selbst, wie es beim Nokia Air & Style 06 im Olympiastadion aussehen wird, unter Snowboard > Setup
Erstmals werden in diesem Hexenkessel die Snowboard Stars von morgen, die Rookies, um einen Startplatz für das nächste Jahr kämpfen. New Setup and new Stars
Very close alongside the southern stands, the new position of the Snowboard ramp guarantees best view from the Nokia Air & Style Grandstands! The whole setup grew again and the freestyle motocrossers will fly overhead the 2nd snowboard jump.
From the grandstand you will have the best view on the newly designed kicker combinations. Our experts in the background and Pro-Riders David Benedek, Mathieu Crépel and Sani Alibabic were involved in the creation of the 06 setup. The main kicker has got a longer inrun, a wider gap and will be steeper than in 05. See for yourself how the Olympic Stadium will look on December 2nd!

Die Nokia Air & Style Crew freut sich Euch die neue Homepage präsentieren zu dürfen. Hier findet Ihr alle Infos rund um den Nokia Air & Style Munich 06 und könnt Euch direkt Eure Karten sichern.
Die Vorbereitungen laufen trotz des heißen Sommers bereits auf Hochtouren. Am 2. Dezember 2006 wird das Münchner Olympiastadion zum zweiten Mal ein Hexenkessel, mit Snowboard- & FMX-Action sowie Music vom Allerfeinsten. Es wird ein völlig neues Setup geben! Die Rampe verspricht wahnsinnige Jumps der Rider. Und jeder Zuschauer hat dann beste Sicht auf das Geschehen.
Im Forum kann sich jede(r) zu Wort melden – es gibt einiges zu besprechen. Nach und nach werden wir die Homepage mit den aktuellsten Infos für Euch füttern. Um wirklich nichts zu verpassen, tragt Euch für den Newsletter ein.

Despite crazy hot weather we are in the middle of preparing the winter highlight. On December 2nd Snowboard- & FMX-Action supported by music top acts will rock the Olympic Stadium Munich. The completely new ramp and setup promises insane jumps. Spectators will be up close and get good view from every stand.
