Kevin Pearce gewinnt den Nokia Air & Style 07
Der erst 20-jährige Kevin Pearce (USA) hat den Nokia Air & Style 07 gewonnen. Er setzte sich im äußerst knappen Superfinale mit 286 Punkten gegen den 17-jährigen Youngster Mikkel Bang (281 Punkte), Torstein Horgmo (277 Punkte) und den Münchner David Benedek (268 Punkte) durch. Sein Siegessprung war eine stilistisch einwandfreie Kombination aus einem Cab 1260 und Crail.
In der Rookie Challenge der weltbesten Nachwuchsfahrer setzte sich Tim Humphreys vor Werner Stock und Mason Aguirre durch und sicherte sich damit einen Platz im Hauptfeld des Air & Style München 08.
Den erstmalig ausgetragenen Wettbewerb der Freestyle Snowmobile-Fahrer (FSX) gewann Daniel Bodin (SWE) vor Chris Burandt (USA) und Aleks Noorgaard (NOR). Ihre waghalsige Show mit Backflips auf 200 Kilogramm schweren Motorschlitten verschlug dem Publikum immer wieder aufs Neue den Atem.
Über 28.000 Zuschauer feierten die Snowboarder und Sled Freestyler frenetisch. Die Stimmung war einfach unglaublich. Sean Paul, The Hives und 30 Seconds to Mars trugen außerdem dazu bei, dass es wieder ein unvergesslicher Abend war.
Kevin Pearce wins the Nokia Air & Style 07
20-year old Kevin Pearce has taken victory in the Nokia Air & Style 07 at the Munich Olympic Stadium. He prevailed at the superfinal with 286 opoints over Mikkel Bang (281 points), Torstein Horgmo (277 points) and David Benedek (269 points). His winning trick was a combination of Cab 1260 to Crail.Tim Humphreys won the Rookie Challenge, beating the world’s best snowboard youngsters. With this victory he secured a place amongst the Top 16 at next year´s Air & Style 08 in Munich.
Daniel Bodin won the premiere of the Freestyle Snowmobile contest ahead of Chris Burandt and Aleks Norgaard. Their show with backflips on snowmobiles weighing 200 kg was a breathtaking experience.
Over 28.000 in the Olympic Stadium celebrated esthetically. Sean Paul, the Hive and 30 Seconds to Mars added their great performances to the atmosphere. It was an extraordinary and unforgettable night again.

Christophe Schmidt ersetzt Hampus Mosesson
Tragischerweise hat sich nun auch Hampus Mosseson beim Training verletzt. Auch ihm wünschen wir: Gute Besserung! Für den Schweden tritt ein weiterer erfolgreicher Einheimischer an: Christophe Schmidt. Wir kennen ihn von den Olympischen Winterspielen in Turin bei denen er den 8. Platz belegte. Außerdem wurde er Erster über die längste Airtime Red Bull Gap Session in Garmisch 2006 und wir sind schon sehr gespannt wie der bei Nokia Air & Style 07 abschneiden wird! Give it up for Chris!

Tragically also Hampus Mosseson got injured during a training session. We wish him to get well soon! At his place another German Christophe Schmidt will join the challenge. We already know him from the Olympic Winter Games 2006 where he made the 8th place and from is 1st place over the longest Airtime Red Bull Gap Session in Garmisch 2006. Let’s see where the Nokia Air & Style 07 takes him! Give it up for Chris.

Antti Autti unfortunately dislocated his shoulder, of course we wish him to get well soon!The snowboard legend Andy Finch from California will replace him.
After a pause due to an injury Andy had a great comeback with a first place in the pipe and a fourth place in slope style at the Australian Open. We are looking forward to welcoming the winner of the Arctic Challenge 2004 and the bold jumps of the smart American.

An incredible kicker, an indescribable atmosphere and a bunch of adrenalin as well as great talent and 30.000 expected fans will push the best snowboarders of the world to show outstanding performance at the Nokia Air & Style 07.For this year we made sure that we are able to present to you 16 of the best snowboard- pros and 16 of the best rookieboarder. They will show what is possible to do over the worlds greatest stadium kicker and fight for the most wanted “ring of glory”.
As experienced last year, showing great jumps is not enough anymore. To win the Nokia Air & Style, the jumps have to be perfect in technical and especially in style aspects.
In the year 07 we look forward to seeing great airs and tons of style. They will make the snow melt and the audience burn.

Wie in den letzten Jahren haben sich schon hochkarätige Snowboardkönige angemeldet. Bereits bestätigt haben Vorjahres Sieger Travis Rice und Lokalmatador David Benedek. Auch finnische Größen wie Risto Mattila und Antti Autti sind schon offiziell an Bord und werden am 01.12.2007 den Kampf um den Ring of Glory beginnen.
Diesmal haben wir aufgrund der vielen jungen Talente die Rookie Challenge ausgeweitet. Neben vielen bekannten Gesichtern können wir stolz ganz frische Rider am Start begrüssen, die dieses Jahr um den Einzug in die Top 16 für 2008 kämpfen.
Komplett neu haben wir dieses Jahr von FMX zu FSX umgesattelt. Freestyle Snowmobile ist absolut trendsportartverdächtig und wir haben es exklusiv in Europa auf dem Programm. Somit sind wir schon sehr gespannt was die vier Rider am 01. Dezember auf den Kickern so zaubern werden. Eins ist jetzt schon mal klar: es wird eine bomben Premiere!

We can proudly announce that many riders already confirmed to join the battle at the first of December for the Ring of Glory 2007. Heroes like Travis Rice, David Benedek, Nicolas Müller, Risto Mattila and Mathieu Crepel will for sure be there when the 15th Air & Style begins.
As there are so many young and talented riders we decided to invite some more Rookies this year. Apart from the riders who already joined us last year we will gladly welcome some new faces in the Line Up. All of them will fight for the Top 16 Ticket 2008, so be prepared for a merciless battle.
This year for the first time we switched from FMX to FSX. Freestyle Snowmobile stands the chance of becoming a very new trend sport and we have the honour of presenting it exclusively in Europe. Consequently, we are already completely excited what the 4 freestyle snowmobile riders will show at the first of December. One thing is for sure: it’s going to be a super spectacular premiere.
